The last remaining wizards in the world, fifteen in all, have managed to find some apprentices with the right spirit and attitude. But the young people have many problems and spend most of their time fighting with each other. The wizards decide that they need a child minder to look after the apprentices when they are not being taught how to be a wizard, but then things get complicated, especially after the dragons get involved. Wizard Frank wishes they had never gotten apprentices in the first place, let alone allowing an unknown author to write about their lives.
