It is also true that everybody uses these mental and spiritual forces, consciously or otherwise. The man who knows how may use them uniformly for good, while he who does not will be a blind Samson, doing wonders often, but sooner or later pulling the house of achievement down upon his head.
If it be urged that only experts should know of and use these forces, the reply comes in the question, How is a man to become expert in this or any science without study of its principles and practice of its methods? It has been claimed that it is well enough for the public to have a general knowledge of this science, but that its use should be restricted to the physician, the psychologist, or the clergy, lest mistakes be made or unwise use occur.
