"What happens when your revered federal government of the almighty United States of America can"t pay its bills and, like your neighbor in the house next door, declares bankruptcy? Could this really happen, you ask? You don"t know your history: Russia in 1998 and Greece in 2010. And what happens when major corporations intervene and perform the services of certain government offices, like providing a Welfare check to the pitiful, unemployed masses? ...where these corporations can change the rules, to ensure they have the revenue to operate? You didn"t anticipate that, did you? You fool-whose eyesight is only locked onto that new BBQ at the Home store, and where your contemplations are limited to whether it"ll fit into your monster SUV. You could have prevented this future, my friend. "And what happens when that monolithic corporation paying out Welfare checks happens to own all human DNA? Wait, what!? Yeah, while you were guzzling beers and flipping patties on your new BBQ, caught up in your stupid text messages, Genome Inc. influenced the Patent Office and got to patent human genes. One at a time. So now your great grandchildren, when they become adults, must get a license before having kids, because those kids are using patented DNA. They"re telling me to thank you, by the way. Hey, I say to them, "Quit calling you an f"in dumb as#!" (Even though you are-ignoring the national debt.) So stop complaining about your home mortgage and how the banks are getting rich. Try paying for a kid license at the same time. You have it easy. So have another brewsky...relax. We don"t care that our children are taken, when we can"t pay! Go ahead. Wreck the future for the rest of us." This action-filled story is a cautionary tale of your near future, an extrapolation from true events.
