Schooltime Reflections - Feelings 202 illustrates that the one constant which affects every aspect of our lives and is the heart of life itself - is our FEELINGS. The book is about my feelings and emotions as I was growing up as a student and later as a teacher in the public schools of Peekskill, New York. In a somewhat chronological educational journey, I describe actual incidents taken from my experience in the classroom and in life. The uniqueness of this approach is that I not only provide a description of these events from a child"s prospective and adult"s point of view, but that I also share down-to-earth "lessons" for the reader to consider and possibly incorporate into his or her personal and/or academic life. Because of the universal nature of these experiences, this book is pertinent and relevant as an introspective guide for all to recognize the importance of always treating students and others appropriately. Margaret (MARGIE) Dunajski Harde believes that our feelings are the heart of our journey through life. Her reflections and memories of the feelings and emotions that stand out as she was growing up as a student, and later upon becoming a teacher in her hometown of Peekskill, New York, serve as the inspiration for her first book. She is a graduate of SUNY Albany where she received her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Education. Her career has consisted of teaching seventh and eighth grade social studies in public schools, mentoring, tutoring, being a college supervisor for student teachers, and serving as a story-hour specialist. She is a mother and a grandmother who presently lives just outside Peekskill, New York, with her husband.
