It is one of many possible stories of a cat"s life, from birth to young adulthood. Many don"t turn out as good as this one did. Personally, I try to put myself in the animal"s place with regard to thoughts and actions, and thankfully, I gave the cat a very good and understanding owner. The book about Kitzoo is pretty much a summary of my very own cat, and the different situations that occurred were from a number of cats I had over the course of my life and good possible outcomes. This is meant to be a children"s story, but adults can learn too. What motivated me is the need for understanding, by a human, that they have lives too; they also need to eat, drink, and breathe just like we do. They should be treated with kindness and respect, just as people should treat each other with kindness and respect. I have worked with many animals of all different species, worked for many vets, started my own pet-sitting and boarding business (that took off and skyrocketed until 9/11), and most recently, a shelter, which euthanized animals, when the population grew to a max. It was heartbreaking to see all those dogs and cats that were misunderstood and brought to the shelter, as well as those that were just left to run, because the owner didn"t care, then to have their lives taken away when they should be happy and have a good life. I have nursed and cared for many animals over the course of my life, releasing wildlife when appropriate, finding perfect homes for my fosters as well as understanding and working with issues that may have caused the animal to be homeless. I provided shelter and a lot of TLC, and all have left me happy, with a sense of security, as well as those that stayed with me due to not finding a person who was understanding enough to provide the best home possible.
