The town of Zlatoust is famous throughout the world as the Russian community where about two centuries ago the art of the Zlatoust engraving on metal had been born, flour-ished, went into a decline, and recently revived again. It is a lucky coincidence that the present book is being published and will soon be distributed in the year when we are celebrating the 250-year anniversary of the town of Zlatoust.
